故事概要：
Jung-Won, an interior decorator, is preparing his long-overdue wedding with Hee-Eun. One evening, Jung-Won falls asleep on the subway.He barely wakes up at the last station and narrowly gets off the train. As he looks back, he finds the train leaving with the two young girls sitting asleep next to him still in it. Arriving home, he finds Hee-Eun has bought them a new metal dining table.
正元（朴新扬饰）是一个室内装饰设计师（韩文用designer），正筹办与订婚已久的嬉恩（刘善饰）的婚事。有晚在地铁上正元睡着了。在最后一站好不容易醒来，差点没能下列车。回头看时，发现睡在他身旁的两个小女孩没下来，列车就走了。回到家，发现嬉恩买了个金属饭桌。
The next day, Jung-Won hears on the radio that two young girls were found poisoned-dead in the subway train. When he got back home, he gets shocked to find the two dead girls sitting at his new dining table.
第二天，正元从收音机听说那两个女孩被毒死在列车上。回到家，他恐怖地发现两个女孩坐在他的新饭桌旁。
Jung-Won, bumps into Yun, who is taking a therapy session at the psychiatrist''s clinic. She has been receiving treatment after her friend, Jung-Sook, killed both of their children a year earlier. Another accident leads Jung-Won to Yun and he takes her to his apartment where she too sees the apparition of the dead children.
正元遇上了在做精神治疗的娟（全智贤饰）。由于一年前她朋友贞淑杀了自己和娟的孩子，她一直在做治疗。另一次偶遇，正元带娟到自己家时，她也看到了那两个小孩的鬼魂。
Tormented by nightmares and the hallucinations, Jung-Won is desperate to find out about the apparitions that haunt him and solicits Yun to help him. He succeeds in persuading her to help him and she tells him things in his past he tried to forget. Unfortunately, he suffers the consequences rediscovering his past.
倍受恶梦和幻觉的折磨，正元离家去找緾他的鬼魂，并恳求娟帮他。说服她后，她告诉他一些他努力想忘记的过去。结果令他更加痛苦。
Meanwhile, Jung-Won meets'' Yun''s husband who suspects that it was actually his wife who killed their children. Jung-Won, caught up in his desire to deny his past and his fear of Yun, turns down Yun''s cry for help when her husband tries to commit her to a mental hospital. His refusal crushes Yun, and dreadful events are to come afterwards.
期间，正元遇到娟的丈夫，他怀疑是娟杀死了他们的小孩。出于自己拒绝承认过去的欲望和对娟的恐惧。在娟的丈夫想送娟去精神病院时，拒绝了她的求助。此举刺激了娟，祸事接踵而来......

室内设计师“正元"是个梦想组建幸福家庭的平凡男子。结婚前搬进婚房，开始在饭桌旁看到鬼，陷入极度恐怖之中。作为牧师的儿子、忠实的基督教信徒，他所处的生活无人倾诉，陷于一片混乱。偶遇女子“娟"，得知她也和自己一样能看到鬼，与她共享着这个秘密。
娟（全智贤）：
具有某种不幸能力的神秘女子“娟"/全智贤
“我能看到其他人看不到的东西，您信我吗？"
美丽而难以接近的女子“娟"，虽然有丈夫，但一直是一个人住。由于有嗜眠症，常有在路边睡倒的事。浑身秘密的她，具有其他人所没有的能力。她能看到鬼魂和别人的过去。这不幸的能力总使周围的人受伤，因此她关上了心扉。然而遇到与自己有共同经历的“正元"后，她把自己的秘密一一吐露出来。

著名设计师正元的未婚妻“嬉恩"/刘善
“如果爱，就要信任，然而，我感到不安..."
每天全力去爱的“嬉恩"，面对内省的正元，总是故做欢笑，是个豁达、有魅力的女人。从大学开始就与正元交往，深信于他，成为亲密恋人。看到婚前行迹可疑的正元，非常担心。看到他与陌生女子娟在一起，两人的关系变得猜疑。

“真相"与“谎言"
Like the two sides of a coin, the truth can be perceived as a lie and a lie can be perceived as the truth depending on what situation a person is in.
如硬币的两面，根据人所处的情形，真相会被认做谎言，谎言也可能被认做真相。
Man can only accept as much truth as he can take.
人只能接受他所能接受的事实。
When the truth is too much to handle, man turns his eyes away and even goes as far as to cut off the finger that points to the truth.
"I" is the fundamental root of the existence of external things and one''s own mind.
当事实难以掌控，他会避开它，甚至力图抹杀它。
“自我"成为客观存在和意志的根基。
However, is the "I" that I believe as "I" really "I"?
然而，我坚信的“自我"真的是“我"吗？
Is it possible that we perceive only the parts of "I" that we can accept as "I"?
是否可能我们只接受了我们所能接受的那部分“自我"？
The fear of confronting oneself that one does not want to acknowledge.
人们总是不想承认面对自我的恐惧。
The solitude of one who points to the invisible yet clearly existing truth.
人的孤独显示着这不可辨别而又明显存在的事实。
The cowardly atrocity that surfaces when man tries to hide his limitations and his weakness. These are the things I wish to portray.
当人极力掩盖他的无知和渺小时,显露出其怯懦的残暴。这就是本片所想描述的内容。
